Hatfield Station MSCP
Spectrum played an integral role in delivering a new 350 space multi-storey car park at Hatfield Railway Station.
An experienced supply chain was required and Spectrum was appointed to design and install the rainscreen cladding package which included aluminium framed expanded mesh and aluminium perforated hook-on panels.
The erection of the cladding was carried out in close proximity to the East Coast Main Line and the associated over-head electrified lines.
We developed construction methods and processes for the erection of the cladding to comply with Network Rail safety standards. The development of safe systems of work was paramount in enabling the works to be carried out without rail possessions and isolations.
The works also involved a significant element of sub-contractor design. The perforated panels incorporate various hole sizes to form a pattern which reflects the ornamental ironwork on the gates of neighbouring Hatfield House.
